OPERATION
1. If leveling jacks are used with the unit and are engaged for storage, disengage the jacks so that the wheels contact the ground surface. Otherwise, remove wheel chocks.
2. Move unit into approximate position at the vehicle.
3. Extend the ladder high enough to clear the highest point on the vehicle in the vicinity of the unit cage.
4. Move the unit closer to the vehicle so that the cage is in the approximate desired area.
5. Retract the ladder so that the protective bumpers on the pivoting feet of the cage rest on the vehicle. Make certain that the bumpers, or any parts of the cage, are not resting on any vehicle component subject to damage when a load is applied.
6. If leveling jacks are used, deploy them to stabilize the base on an uneven ground surface.
7. After deploying the leveling jacks, the ladder, platform, and cage may need to be lowered again so that the pivoting feet of the cage rest on the vehicle as noted in step 5.
8. Face the ladder when climbing up or down; maintain center of gravity, i.e., belt buckle, between ladder side rails.
9. Maintain a firm grip; use both hands while climbing.
10. When finished with the unit, extend the ladder high enough to clear any point on the vehicle.
11. Retract the jacks (if used) to engage the wheels with the ground; store the jacks in the horizontal position.
12. Move the unit clear of the vehicle.
13. Lower the ladder all the way down.
14. Remove any tools or material from the ladder platform.
15. Store the unit; chock wheels, or extend the jacks (if used), to disengage wheels from ground to keep unit immobile.
NOTE:
